The Bank of Utah Championship has been a PGA Tour event in the FedEx Cup Fall series for two years. This is the fourth of seven events this fall and the first event back in Utah since the Utah Open Invitational in 1963.

Originally called the Black Desert Championship with Matt McCarty as its inaugural winner last year, the Bank of Utah became the title sponsor after signing a three-year sponsorship deal.

About Black Desert Resort

Black Desert Resort in Ivins, UT, plays just over 7,400 yards as a par 71. Legendary golf course architect Tom Weiskopf helped design this course but passed away shortly after construction started. It is ranked the 35th best public golf course in America by Golf Digest. The course record was set by Canadian Adam Svensson, who shot an 11-under-60 in the opening round of last year’s tournament.

Who to Watch at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship

The field is highlighted by Jason Day, Billy Horschel, Luke Clanton and last year’s champion McCarty. We predict Christiaan Bezuidenhout will be holding the trophy on Sunday night. In his last two starts, he had a T6 finish at the Sanderson Farms Championship and a T10 finish at the Baycurrent Classic
