The Baycurrent Classic has been a PGA Tour event since 2019; it was previously known as the Zozo Championship. Tiger Woods won the inaugural event for his 82nd career PGA Tour win, tying him with Sam Snead for the most wins all time.
This is the first and only PGA Tour-sanctioned event in Japan and is co-sanctioned by the Japan Golf Tour. This year, the Baycurrent Classic will be played at Yokohama Country Club for the first time; the last four years, the event has been played at Narashino Country Club. In this event’s short existence, it has had some notable winners like Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley and Japan’s own Hideki Matsuyama.

Who to Watch at the 2025 Baycurrent Classic
The field is highlighted by last year’s winner Nico Echavarria and past champions Matsuyama and Morikawa. Look for 2025 Ryder Cup winner Rasmus Hojgaard to pick up his first career PGA Tour win. In his last five starts worldwide, he has three top-3 finishes including a T3 finish last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
