The Butterfield Bermuda Champion has been a PGA Tour event since 2019. This tournament is the penultimate event in the PGA Tour’s fall season. Originally played as an opposite field event to the WGC-HSBC Champions, it has since become a full-field event. The tournament takes place at Port Royal Golf Course designed by famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones.
The tournament scoring record was set by past winners Camilo Villegas (2023) and Brendan Todd (2019) at 24-under. Last year, Rafael Campos defeated Andrew Novak by three shots to win his first PGA Tour title.
About Port Royal Golf Course
Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton Parish, Bermuda, plays just over 6,800 yards as a par 71. The course is short compared to other PGA Tour courses, but the weather plays a big factor in how low or high the scoring is. The 18-hole course record is held by Taylor Pendrith, Wesley Bryan and Alex Noren, who all shot 61.
Who to Watch at the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship
The field is highlighted by last year’s winner Campos, Sahith Theegala and Michael Brennan. We predict Patrick Rodgers will pick up his first career PGA Tour win. In his last three appearances here, he has finished 4th, T3 and T9 and is coming off a T6 finish last week at the World Wide Technology Championship. A former Ben Hogan Award winner, Rodgers has been close to winning and hopefully this week he will finally join the winner’s circle.
