The Hero World Challenge is hosted by Tiger Woods and benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation. It is not an official PGA Tour event, but since 2009, the tournament has offered Official World Golf Ranking points. First played in 2000, the Hero World Challenge was played in California until 2013. In 2014, the venue moved to Florida before heading to the Bahamas in 2015; it has been played there ever since.

Scottie Scheffler won his second consecutive Hero World Challenge when he defeated Tom Kim by six shots in 2024.

About Albany Golf Course

The Albany Golf Course plays just over 7,400 yards as a par 72. The course record is 61, set by Rickie Fowler during the final round of the 2017 event. Scheffler and Bubba Watson hold the tournament scoring record in the Bahamas at 25-under.

Who to Watch at the 2025 Hero World Challenge

The field has three past champions competing:

  • 2023 and 2024 champion Scheffler
  • 2016 champion Hideki Matsuyama
  • 2014 champion Jordan Spieth

We predict Scheffler will win his third consecutive Hero World Challenge title.
