The LPGA Tour kicks off its Pacific stretch this week with the Lotte Championship presented by Hoakalei. This is the 13th rendition of the tournament and the fourth time it is being held at Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii.

Korea’s A Lim Kim will look to defend her title after her two-stroke victory over Nataliya Guseva last year.

Hoakalei Country Club is a par 72 playing 6,566 yards. The tournament’s purse is $3 million.

Who to Watch at the LOTTE Championship

With the season coming to a close, there have still been no repeat winners this year on tour, so it’s anyone’s tournament.

A Lim Kim is one of the players to watch this week. The defending champion has already been successful on tour this season with a win at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January, along with four other top-10 finishes.

Kim shared her excitement for the tournament, which will be shown on primetime television in Korea:

LOTTE Championship is quite huge in Korea because it’s sponsored by a Korean company. I believe many fans in Korea are watching and rooting for us, and personally, I want to win, but of course, we need to all do a great job this week,” she said.

Nelly Korda is another player to watch. The world number two is looking for her first win this season. Korda had a staggering seven wins last year on tour but has fallen just short of one this season. Look for her to be at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.
