The inaugural Biltmore Championship is the first of eight FedExCup Fall Events that finalizes eligibility for the 2027 PGA Tour season. The top 100 players in the final FedExCup points will earn their exemption for the 2027 season of the PGA Tour.
These events also determine the eligibility for the first two Signature Events of the next season, as Nos. 51-60 in the final FedExCup Fall standings will earn spots in the 2027 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and 2027 Genesis Invitational. The winner of a FedExCup Fall Event receives 500 FedExCup points, a two-year PGA Tour exemption and invitations to the Players Championship and PGA Championship.
This is the PGA Tour’s first event in Asheville, NC, in more than 80 years, honoring the Land of the Sky Open that was the last event played there; Ben Hogan won three consecutive titles there from 1940-42.
About The Cliffs at Walnut Cove
The Cliffs at Walnut Cove plays 7,249 yards as a par 71. The course sits at 2,000 feet of elevation in a valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains next to the Pisgah National Forest. Jack Nicklaus designed the golf course, which features rolling slopes surrounded by mountain ridges that create natural amphitheaters.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Biltmore Championship Asheville
The field includes seven players who will participate in the Presidents Cup next week. U.S. Team members Jacob Bridgeman and Jackson Koivun join International Team members Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Corey Conners, Nico Echavarria, Ryo Hisatsune and Nick Taylor.
We predict Bridgeman will earn his second career victory this week. He finished ninth and T4 in the final two events of the playoffs and is the highest-rated player in the field at No. 29 in the Official World Golf Rankings; he is also first on tour in strokes gained putting.
Speaking about his mindset playing the week before the Presidents Cup, Bridgeman said, “I think just get the competitive spirit back and try and get everything feeling like I want it to, like it was in the playoffs. I think it should be easy to get back before next week.”
