The Farmers Insurance Open has been a PGA Tour event since 1952 and has been played at Torrey Pines Golf Course since 1968. The first 36 holes of the tournament are played on the North and South Courses. The final two rounds are played on the South Course, which has hosted the U.S. Open twice.

The major news of the week is 5-time Major champion Brooks Koepka will be returning to play on the PGA Tour via the returning member program. He will be playing this event for the fifth time in his career looking for his 10th career PGA Tour win.

Last year, Harris English defeated Samuel Stevens by one shot to pick up his fifth career win here in San Diego, California. Other past champions include Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm, Jason Day and Justin Rose.
