The Zurich Classic of New Orleans was established in 1938 but wasn’t played annually until 1958. In 2017, it became a team event and is the only official FedExCup event on the PGA Tour to use this format.

Each duo will play four-ball (best ball) on Thursday and then switch to foursomes (alternate shot) on Friday. The third round will be four-ball again, and the final round will be foursomes. The winners receive 400 FedExCup points and a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour, but they won’t receive any Official World Golf Ranking points.

In the 2025 Zurich Classic, Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak defeated Rasmus and Nicolai Hojgaard by one stroke to earn their first career PGA Tour wins.

About TPC Louisiana

TPC Louisiana plays 7,425 yards as a par 72. Water hazards are all over the course, but that’s no surprise: it was built on over 250 acres of wetlands.

The alternate shot 18-hole record is 63, most recently shot by Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor in the final round of the 2023 event. The best ball record is 58, shot by Isaiah Salinda and Kevin Velo in the 2025 rendition’s first round.

Who to Watch at the 2026 Zurich Classic

Griffin and Novak are in the field looking to defend their title. We predict the team of Michael Brennan and Johnny Keefer will win the team event in New Orleans. Keefer is looking for his first career PGA Tour win after being the Korn Ferry Tour’s Rookie and Player of the year in 2025. Brennan won the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship last fall for his first career PGA Tour win.
