This is the 108th edition of the FedEx Open de France; it has been played since 1906, making it continental Europe’s oldest national open. The FedEx Open de France is the fifth event of the Back 9 swing with players fighting to earn every point to secure one of the 10 dual memberships on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. European legends like Sandy Lyle, Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie have won this event in the past.
In the 2025 FedEx Open de France, Michael Kim defeated Elvis Smylie and Jeong Weon Ko by one shot to win for the first time in seven years.
About Le Golf National
Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France, plays 7,365 yards as a par 71. The venue has hosted this event since 1991 with the exception of three years (1999, 2001, 2005).
The golf course went through a major renovation over the last two years. Holes 4-6 were reconfigured with new layouts, landscape features and playing surfaces. Six holes have remodeled greens, four holes had their bunkers remodeled and, on hole 15, a new championship back tee was added. The course hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup and the golf events in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The course record of 62 (-9) is shared by Nicolai Højgaard, Scottie Scheffler, Martin Kaymer, Rasmus Højgaard and Guido Migliozzi.
Who to Watch at the 2026 FedEx Open de France
French Players Matthieu Pavon and Adrien Saddier headline a group of 26 French players in the field trying to win their national open. European Ryder Cup players Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg are making their tournament debuts while teammate Matt Fitzpatrick is making his seventh appearance. PGA Tour winners Ryan Gerard, Bud Cauley and Kristoffer Reitan also are in the field.
We predict Tommy Fleetwood will earn his ninth DP World Tour win of his career at this event. Fleetwood feels right at home at this course given he won this event here in 2017. He was also 4-1-0 at the 2018 Ryder Cup and won the silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
“I love coming back and playing on the DP World Tour as it is. But coming to a place and a course that has been kind to me over the years and given me some unbelievable moments, it’s really nice,” Fleetwood said.
