The 2026 Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship is the first event of the DP World Tour Play-Offs, a two-event series that includes the season-ending DP World Tour Championship next week.
On the schedule since 2006, this is the 21st playing of the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship. The top 70 players from the Race to Dubai Rankings are vying for the top 50 spots this week to move on to the season finale. The two playoff events are the final Rolex Series events on the schedule.
In last year’s tournament, Aaron Rai defeated Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff to win his second Rolex Series title.
“A lot has happened. It was quite unexpected, this week last year, in obviously the greatest way possible,” Rai said about his recent wins.

Who to Watch at the 2026 Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship
The top two players in the Race to Dubai Rankings, Eugenio Chacarra and Patrick Reed, highlight the field. Former winners of this event Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton, Victor Perez and Rai are looking to add to their success in Abu Dhabi.
We predict Casey Jarvis will earn his third win of the season. He has two top-four finishes in his last three starts.
