Golf is a complicated game to pick up. From the golf clubs to the apparel to the tee times, there are many factors that go into taking your first swing.
With the popularity of the game still on the rise since Covid, brands have faced a new challenge: how to keep these beginners in the game.
Topgolf and Topgolf Callaway Brands recently launched their solution: Topgolf Shop.
“Making golf less hard and more fun for Players has always been the goal at Topgolf, and Callaway’s expertise in the golf equipment space helps bring this to life for Players transitioning from the bay to the course for the first time,” said Topgolf CEO Artie Starrs. “Launching Topgolf Shop is a no-brainer for our Players, and we are proud to exclusively bring them Callaway golf clubs and equipment through the Topgolf Shop.”
Topgolf has already made golf more accessible thanks to its gamified version of the sport, where there are lit-up targets placed at distances for all skill levels and plenty of food and beverages to sustain your friendly matches. But when looking to bring these one-time players onto the golf course where they can play this game for life, Topgolf Callaway Brands found a step missing.
“With the launch of Topgolf Shop, we’re thrilled to offer a seamless and user-friendly experience for aspiring and emerging golfers,” says Kiran Akkineni, Topgolf Callaway Brands’ Senior Vice President of Digital. “Our tailored gear recommendations, combined with essential resources for skill development, make it easier than ever to get started on the course. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to upgrade your gear, Topgolf Shop has what you need!”
At Topgolf Shop, you can find golf clubs for men, women and juniors (plus a simple quiz to help you figure out which golf club set is best for you). You’ll also find golf balls in several fun colors and designs, golf gloves and tees. Add in some stylish apparel, and you have everything you need for your first lesson or tee time.
Since launch, Topgolf Callaway Brands have already added special edition Chrome Tour golf balls. In the next few months, they will also be adding Ogio gear, Topgolf-branded items and golf clubs exclusive to the site.
Our only question is, are you teeing off with the pumpkin or the ghost golf ball this Halloween?
