
The 3M Open, held at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota, has been an official PGA Tour event since 2019. The title sponsor of the event is 3M, a Minnesota-based company that focuses on innovation in science. From 1993-2018, the event was known as the 3M Championship and was played on PGA Tour Champions.

TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, MN, plays at just over 7,400 yards as a par 71. The tournament record score was set by the 2023 3M Champion Lee Hodges at 24-under. Paul Goydos first shot the course record of 60 (-12) in 2017 for the 3M Championship when this was a senior event. Water comes into play on 15 of the 18 holes on the course, making for a difficult track. Hodges and Matthew Wolff (2019) both won their first PGA Tour events here.
Who to Watch at the 2025 3M Open
The field is highlighted by four previous winners of this event – Jhonattan Vegas, Lee Hodges, Tony Finau and Cameron Champ. We have our eyes on Sam Burns; he has made 11 straight cuts this season that included three top-10 finishes. In the 3M Open, he has made the cut all three times he’s played with two top-12 finishes.
