Linn Grant and Grace Kim are tied for the lead at 9-under after two rounds at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican.
Kim was the clubhouse leader at 9-under after finishing her round of 66 (-4) in the morning wave. Grant shot a 7-under-63 to tie the low round of the day. Kim is looking for her second individual win of the season – she already has the Amundi Evian Championship from July and the International Crown from October on her resume. Grant has not won on the LPGA Tour since 2023.
First round leader Haeran Ryu and Jennifer Kupcho are one shot behind the leaders. Kupcho’s second round included an eagle, five birdies and three bogeys that led to a second consecutive round of 66.
Nelly Korda and Karis Davidson matched Grant’s 63 to move their way up the leaderboard. Many eyes will be on Korda this weekend as she puts herself in contention for her fourth win at this event.
69 players made the cut at 1-over or better. Kai Trump will miss the cut after shooting a 5-over-75 in round two. She birdied four holes during the second round after a birdie-free first round. She had this to say after her second round.
“Yeah, for the first day I was definitely really nervous. I think the nerves just got to me. When I went out there today I felt very calm and peaceful to be honest with you.”
Bailey Tardy had the shot of the day with a hole-in-one on the par-3 3rd from 162 yards.
Tee times for the third round start at 7:25am ET with players going off the first tee. You can watch starting at 1:30pm ET on the NBC Sports App and 2:30pm ET on the Golf Channel.
