The PNC Championship has become a feel-good ending to every golf season. First called the Father/Son Challenge when the event began in 1995, the tournament slowly became more inclusive. Fuzzy Zoeller was the first to bring his daughter as his partner in 2005, and Arnold Palmer was the first to bring his grandson in 2006. Eventually, Annika Sorenstam was invited to play in 2019, and she brought her father.
Nowadays, you’ll still see most pairings are traditionally parent-child. In 2020, the tournament was renamed to the PNC Championship when PNC became the title sponsor.
To be considered for this event, a player must have won a major championship on the LPGA, Champions or PGA Tour (the Players Championship counts).

Will McGee – Sorenstam’s son – is the youngest in the field this year as a high schooler. Gary Player was initially going to compete as well but had to withdraw; Trevino and his son stepped in for him.
This is also the second year in a row that Korda, Sorenstam and Stricker’s daughter Izzi – a college star in her own right – will compete.

2025 PNC Championship Leaderboard
Team Langer has had quite the run, winning the PNC Championship in 2023 and 2024. Bernhard and his son Jason have won this event four times in its history, and Bernhard has another two titles here with his other son, Stefan, in 2005 and 2006.
However, it was Team Kuchar who charged up the leaderboard, shooting 33-under over two days to win by 7. They shot 57-54 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, FL.
