The Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa has been a golf tournament since 1967 but did not become a DP World Tour event until 2019.  The tournament is hosted either at Muthaiga Golf Club or Karen Country Club. Seve Ballesteros, Ian Woosnam and Trevor Immelman are notable winners of this event.

Last year, Jacques Kruyswijk defeated John Parry by two strokes to win his first DP World Tour title. Kruyswijk said, “This is the first time I am defending on the DP World Tour so it’s quite special. Last year [in Kenya] was a memorable time for me. It set up my career quite nicely going forward so being back in Kenya is always special. I am looking forward to getting out there.”

About the Golf Courses

Karen Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya, plays just over 7,000 yards as a par 70. The course has a challenging layout with small greens and water features on multiple holes. The course record is 62 (-8) by Stephen Ferreira in 2019 at the KCB Karen Masters.

Who to Watch at the 2026 Magical Kenya Open

The field includes Kruyswijk, Jayden Schaper and recent winner Freddy Schott. We predict Calum Hill to pick up his third career win. He finished T2 at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship and 2nd at the Qatar Masters
