GOLFZON is an indoor golf simulator company that started in South Korea in 2000. Their mission is to make golf accessible, immersive and enjoyable for golfers around the world.
GOLFZON runs their own international indoor golf tour for everyday players. They are also launching the GOLFZON Leadbetter Junior Tour, which will hold 10 events across the spring and fall of 2026. Their partnerships with Troon, the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally and Golf Genius make them a leader in the golf industry.
Two-time PGA Tour winner and South Korea native Sungjae Im said, “GOLFZON helps me keep my golf sense even if I train at home. I can practice any time regardless of the outside conditions. I also practice on Tour golf courses virtually, which has been amazing.”
Fairway to Green’s Nathan Rarick had the opportunity to talk with Sean Pyun, CEO of GOLFZON America.
Nathan Rarick: How does GOLFZON provide the most realistic off-course golf experience?

Sean Pyun: The TwoVisionNX is our most realistic simulator to date due to its data capture capabilities, the GOLFZON Motion Plate and its Unreal Engine 5 powered graphics.
The system’s high-speed, high-definition dual sensors are positioned above and in front of the player and the sensors meet at 90 degrees, the ideal angle for precise data capture. This allows TwoVisionNX simulators to display real-time ball flight and in-depth swing analysis with incredible accuracy.
This simulator also features GOLFZON’s proprietary 64-directional Motion Plate equipped with specialized hitting surfaces to recreate any outdoor lie, from rough to fairway and greenside bunkers. The Motion Plate automatically shifts, concaves and convexes to recreate up to 56,000 distinct stances and lie angles, replicating the slopes of the drone-mapped course library.
Lastly, the TwoVisionNX is the first simulator to utilize the Unreal Engine 5 graphics platform, delivering stunning, hyper-realistic 4k visuals with virtually zero lag and near-zero latency and creating a seamless and immersive experience.
N.R.: How accurate is your product’s short game capability, especially with putting?
S.P.: GOLFZON is considered to have one of, if not the most accurate short game capabilities of any golf simulator due to high-speed cameras. Having high-speed cameras allow the ball to be read right off of contact, so whether it is a 3-foot flop shot, 3-foot putt or even a 6-inch putt, the cameras will read the ball accurately.
N.R.: Who should be looking to install a GOLFZON simulator?
S.P.: We serve both commercial and residential markets. On the commercial front, our simulators are most commonly found in sports bars and lounges, teaching academies and driving ranges, golf clubs and resorts and entertainment centers. Our immersive simulators help these operators attract more guests and grow their revenue.
For the golf-obsessed, our simulators transform their homes into a year-round golf experience that enables them to play world-famous courses like Pebble Beach, The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island and the Old Course at St Andrews with friends and family, improve their games with GOLFZON’s advanced data metrics and play golf year-round no matter the weather.
N.R.: How involved are you with the installation process for your clients?
S.P.: We are involved hands-on throughout the installation process. Each GOLFZON booth build-out includes a dedicated project manager who oversees the entire process, which includes approximately one and a half days onsite during installation.
GOLFZON is responsible for the production of all customized components. We provide the required ramp, platform and padding for the system, and coordinate shipping of all materials directly to the customer site. While the actual installation process is completed by a local contractor, a GOLFZON project manager ensures everything goes smoothly and the simulator is ready for use.
N.R.: What is the new technology being used in your golf simulators?
S.P.: Our newest simulator, GDR MAX, is designed for coaches, club fitters and players who seek and will benefit from advanced data to improve their game, teaching ability and fitting experiences. While the TwoVisionNX captures 20 data points, GDR Max delivers 35 data points for a more comprehensive analysis. The simulator also includes touchscreen monitors that deliver a side-by-side view of golfers’ swings from both front and side angles.
City Golf is an entirely new concept; a hybrid platform that blends cutting-edge simulator golf technology with real green complexes, offering a fresh urban golfing experience. Over 106,000 square feet, City Golf features 18 simulator screens and 18 synthetic greens. The design allows players to hit tee and approach shots in the simulator before the screen retracts, allowing them to finish the hole on a real putting green. This blend of virtual and physical elements provides a full 18-hole golf experience in a compact, indoor space. The excitement for this product at the PGA Show was palpable, and we’re incredibly excited to bring City Golf to North America later this year.
N.R.: What can we expect to see at GOLFZON in short- and long-term?
S.P.: The inaugural season of the GOLFZON Tour featured twelve pre-selected five-player teams from the United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom competing for a $150,000 prize purse. It was incredibly rewarding to see the Tour go from an idea to fully formed competition that culminated with the finals at the 2025 PGA Show.
Due to the inaugural year’s success, we were able to expand season two significantly. The second iteration featured 72 teams competing for a $300,000 prize purse over the course of six months, with payouts also being awarded to the two low monthly qualifiers: $10,000 to the player with the best qualifying score each month and $1,000 to the second-place finisher.
Season 3 begins in May 2026 with players competing for a $300,000 grand prize and two exemptions into the City Golf Open China in December 2026.
This year, GOLFZON is also launching its new GOLFZON Leadbetter Junior Tour. This 10-event junior golf series offers young players meaningful competition without the travel demands of traditional junior circuits. Junior players can compete at their local participating GOLFZON commercial facility across Spring and Fall 2026, with top performers earning State and Tour Championship titles.
Long term, we want to keep creating indoor golf tournaments that excite golfers. Our ultimate vision is to build on what we’ve learned from the GOLFZON Tour and Korea’s GTour to help turn indoor golf into an Olympic sport.
N.R.: How do you work with the National Golf Course Owners Association?
S.P.: GOLFZON is a champion of all golf course owners and operators. Our simulators are valuable tools that help golf facilities drive new revenue streams year-round, engage their members and guests and offer cutting-edge instruction for golfers looking to improve their games. We believe our partnership with the NGCOA will empower its members, and we’re also happy to play a role in advancing the NGCOA’s advocacy efforts as an NGCOA Champions Circle Patron.
N.R.: What does the partnership with the USGA mean for GOLFZON?
S.P.: Our partnership with the USGA is incredibly meaningful. We are so proud to be the official simulator partner of the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally. GOLFZON will bring its TwoVisionNX simulators onsite to both tournaments where fans and hospitality guests will be able to test their skills and earn prizes on the best-in-class indoor golf simulators. We’re also looking forward to the USGA’s collaborative support of the GOLFZON Tour and are excited to work with them on this initiative.
