The Draw: Is Akshay Bhatia the Playoff King?

The Draw is a golf tour news podcast by Fairway to Green writers Nathan Rarick and Brian Koefoot.

In this episode of The Draw, hosts Nathan and Brian recap the busiest week in golf so far and preview some “major” events.

On the DP World Tour, Dan Bradbury won the 2026 Joburg Open for his third career win and second at the event, moving him up the Race to Dubai standings. At the Blue Bay LPGA in China, Mi Hyang Lee earned her first win since 2017, ending a 9-year drought.

On the PGA Tour, Ricky Castillo won the Puerto Rico Open for his first title after nearly skipping the event, while 18-year-old Blades Brown led late but made a triple and finished third; at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Akshay Bhatia beat Daniel Berger in a playoff that is now considered controversial due to his broomstick putter.

The hosts also preview the Players Championship while discussing Rory and Scheffler storylines. They go one to celebrate a TGL Tom Kim hole-in-one comeback, and end by announcing Europe named Luke Donald their Ryder Cup captain again while the U.S. captain remains undecided.
