The Ladies European Tour concludes its Australian stretch this week at the Australian WPGA Championship. This is the final out of four tournaments in Australia over the last month. The tournament will be held at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club in Hope Island, Queensland, Australia.
Su-Hyun Oh looks to defend her title after her victory in 2022 at Royal Queensland Golf Club. The tournament was not on the schedule in 2023 and 2024, and it was cancelled last year due to Cyclone Alfred.
Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is a par 71, playing 6,164 yards. The tournament’s purse is AU$600,000.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship
Last week’s winner, Hannah Green, is in the field again this week. Although Green is a member on the LPGA Tour, she will not be playing in the Fortinet Founders Cup this week in California. Green did not earn any points in the LET’s Order of Merit last week after her win.
Su-Hyun Oh is a player to watch this week. The 30-year-old has had a successful career with three WPGA Tour of Australasia wins, with her most recent one at the Vic Open in February of 2025. Oh also has a win on the LET at the 2015 Volvik RACV Ladies Masters.
Along with her professional victories, Oh has five amateur wins. She was the youngest player to qualify for the Women’s Australian Open at 12 years old. Oh’s best result in a major championship was T8 at the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship at Sahalee Country Club.
