“The Teacher and The Pro” Podcast Joins Fairway to Green

Nathan Rarick is the host of the podcast, "The Teacher and The Pro."

Fairway to Green has launched a new podcast “The Teacher and The Pro,” which focuses on learning and sharing the unique stories of the hardest working people in the golf industry: the PGA Professionals.

Hosted by an elementary school teacher and Fairway to Green golf writer Nathan Rarick, “The Teacher and The Pro” delves into PGA Professionals’ journeys and the paths they’ve chosen within the golf industry – there are more than you may realize! They share valuable insights and advice to aspiring PGA Professionals as well.

A teacher and a PGA Professional can wear many different hats during their day. The host and guests discuss how this can make their jobs more enjoyable but also more challenging some days. Both careers require strong communication skills, adaptability and creating positive relationships.

As a teacher and avid golf fan himself, Rarick had this to say about talking with the PGA Professionals. “I have enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about what PGA Professionals do in their careers. I am excited to shine a positive light on a profession that does not get the attention they deserve.”

The first episode will be released May 8, 2026. Tessa Teachman will join Rarick as the first guest. She is an Assistant Golf Professional at Aronimink Golf Club, the host site of the 2026 PGA Championship. With a professional golf background as well, she offers an inside look into the golf course and how she expects the players to approach it.

You can find “The Teacher and The Pro” on Fairway to Green and wherever you listen to your podcasts: Apple, Spotify and YouTube.
