The 2026 Wyndham Championship is the final event of the PGA Tour regular season. The tournament has served as the season finale every year since the inception of the FedExCup in 2007.
At the conclusion of the event, the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings will qualify for the first event of the playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, which will take place next week in Memphis, Tenn. This means every player ranked between No. 61 and No. 125 on the FedExCup points list will be looking to improve on their ranking this week.
Cameron Young won the 2025 Wyndham Championship by six strokes to earn his first career PGA Tour win. He is the highest ranked player in this week’s field and is looking for his third win of the season.
Young had this to say during his pre-tournament press conference about returning to the site of his first victory: “It was a great week. I obviously played some fantastic golf… I’m happy to be back here. It’s a place that I’ve enjoyed playing and just ready to get the week on.”

Sedgefield Country Club plays 7,131 yards as a par 70. Designed by Donald Ross, the course features small and undulating greens and rewards tee shots that find the fairway. The course has hosted this event since 2008 after it was restored to its original design and lengthened to accommodate PGA Tour golfers.
In eight of the last 10 playings of this event, the winning score has been 20-under or lower. Brandt Snedeker holds the course record of 59 (-11), which he shot in the first round of the 2018 Wyndham Championship.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Wyndham Championship
Young will try to defend his title against a field that includes some big names looking to get into the first playoff event next week. Jackson Koivun sits at No. 70 in the FedExCup points list and will need a strong week to keep that final spot. Former major winners Keegan Bradley (No. 72) and Jason Day (No. 75) will hope to extend their streak of consecutive playoffs appearances (16th and 19th, respectively). Brooks Koepka ranks 86th and needs at least a solo fourth to make the playoffs in his first season back on the PGA Tour. Tony Finau has never missed the playoffs in his career but is currently 89th on the points list. He will need at least a two-way tie for third to secure his spot in the playoffs for the 12th consecutive year.
We predict Ben Griffin will earn the win in his home state of North Carolina. The former University of North Carolina standout has a fourth, T7 and T11 finish in four appearances at this event.
