The U.S. Solheim Cup team appears to be well positioned for its title defense, which begins Sept. 11 on European soil at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.
World No. 1 Nelly Korda has won four times this season including two majors, while Lauren Coughlin also has won. The Americans also have the more experienced team, with 10 former Solheim Cup players including eight from the 2024 win in Virginia.
Angela Stanford is the captain, taking over after Stacy Lewis served two stints. She appeared in six Solheim Cups as a player, compiling a match record of 4-13-3.

Here’s a look at the 12 U.S. players:
Nelly Korda
The world No. 1 is playing in her fifth Solheim Cup and is the winningest on this team with a 10-5-1 record. The only blemish in her last appearance was a lopsided 6&4 loss to Charley Hull in singles.
Angel Yin
Though second in points, the Californian just returned to golf at the FM Championship at the end of August after a two-month injury layoff that saw her lose 35 pounds due to a severe stomach ailment. But she said she’s pain-free and ready for her fourth Solheim Cup and first since 2023.
Jennifer Kupcho
Third in points thanks to a win last year and three top-16 finishes in majors this season including a T8 at the U.S. Women’s Open, the Colorado native will make her fourth straight appearance.
Yealimi Noh
The 25-year-old is a Solheim Cup veteran, but her other appearance was back in 2021. She got her first LPGA win last year at the Founders Cup and was third in this year’s final major, the AIG Women’s British Open.
Auston Kim
At 22nd in the world, the native New Yorker is the third-highest-ranked player on the U.S. side and will make her Solheim Cup debut.
Lauren Coughlin
The Virginian is the second-oldest on the team at 33 but the second-highest ranked player on the team at No. 18 in the world. She won the Aramco Championship in April and was unbeaten (3-0-1) in her first Solheim Cup in 2024 in her home state.
Allisen Corpuz
The 2023 U.S. Women’s Open champion finished T8 in this year’s installment and T5 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Her 5-2-1 record in two previous Solheim Cups includes a 4-0 mark with Nelly Korda in foursomes—expect that partnership to continue.
Andrea Lee
The Californian makes her third appearance and last time out went 2-0 in fourballs with Rose Zhang.
Alison Lee
After playing in the Solheim Cup as an LPGA rookie in 2015, the 31-year-old didn’t get back to the matches until 2024. A T5 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship helped her return this year.
Lindy Duncan
The 35-year-old is the oldest rookie on either team, earning a captain’s pick after finishing ninth in U.S. qualifying standings. Her lone top-10 this season on the LPGA Tour is a seventh at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in February.
Rose Zhang
The 23-year-old hasn’t won on the LPGA Tour since 2024 but returns to her third Solheim Cup after being the top points earner in Virginia, going 4-0-0.
Megan Khang
The Massachusetts native is 85th in the world with no top-10s on the LPGA Tour this year, but is a team room favorite and has delivered in Solheim Cups—she’s 6-0-1 over her last two appearances.
