Adam Schenk won the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship by one shot over Chandler Phillips. In his 243rd career start, Schenk has his first career win. Schenk was trending on social media for putting one-handed when the wind allowed.

Schenk and Braden Thornberry were tied at 12-under heading into the final round. The 36-hole leader Adam Hadwin was at 12-under, but a bogey on the 18th hole dropped him one shot behind the leaders to join three others.

Schenk held onto his one-shot lead after his opening nine holes. He shot a 1-under-35 that included eight pars and one birdie. Three players were tied for second behind Schenk at 12-under. 54-hole co-leader Thornberry struggled on the front nine, shooting a 3-over 39 that had three bogeys and one double bogey.

Schenk increased his lead to two shots after starting his back nine with five consecutive pars. He made his first bogey of the day on the 15th hole to drop to 12-under. Phillips birdied the par-5 17th hole and parred the last hole to set the clubhouse lead at 11-under. Schenk needed to get up and down from just off the back of the green on the 18th to secure the win. His third shot left him a tricky par putt, but he calmly made the putt for the win.

With this victory, Schenk moved to 67th in the FedExCup fall standings and earned a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour. Phillips moved from 139th to 92nd in the FedExCup fall standings after his career best runner-up finish.

The final event of the 2025 PGA Tour Schedule is next week in St. Simons Island, GA, for the RSM Classic. The field is highlighted by seven past champions, including Chris Kirk, Kevin Kisner and MacKenzie Hughes. The top 100 players in the FedExCup Fall standings at the conclusion of the event will earn exempt status for the 2026 PGA Tour season.

Defending champion Maverick McNealy will not be defending his title as he and his wife welcomed their first child into the world last week.
