Ting shot 68 (-4) with six birdies and two bogeys. Rounding out the top three was Kelly Xu, who shot a 71 (-1), tallying five birdies and three bogeys.

Arkansas sophomore Maria José Marin, is the 2025 NCAA Champion, shooting an impressive 12-under-par over four days. Marin showcased her ability to perform under pressure on the biggest stage of the season, claiming the individual NCAA D1 Women’s Golf Championship title as a result.
“I’m feeling great. There was a mix of emotions out there today—it was hard, I’m not going to lie. With that mix of emotions, I tried to stay present, tried to stay on my game, not focus on anyone else—just me. It was… yeah, it was, it was a challenge. But I’m just super happy,” said Marin.
Maria José Marin, who was born and raised in Cali, Colombia, has been part of the Arkansas Razorbacks since her freshman year in 2023. During the 2023 season, Marin was named all SEC Freshman of the Year and one of five in the country to be named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Freshman Team. Later on in her collegiate career, she won the 2025 SEC Player of the Year.

“I think Nationals is a win that everyone is looking for, and, I mean, to do it—I’m, like, wordless, to be honest. I get along with my teammates really well. I love every single one of them, and I know I have the support of (Head Coach) Shauna and (Assistant Coach) Mike. To represent the university as well as I did, and to do it in front of them—and, well, helping us make it to match play—that’s also a big, big thing,” said Marin.
Another key contributor to the Razorbacks’ success on day four was senior Kendall Todd, who shot even par with four birdies. The Razorbacks advanced to the top eight for match play on Tuesday, May 20th, and secured the sixth seed for the final days of the tournament.
“We already did the first check mark, which was making it into the eight. Last year, we missed it by two or three shots. So yeah, just really, really looking forward to it. I think we have a good strategy going into tomorrow, and we’re ready to play well,” said Marin.
Despite all of the emotions Marin had after receiving the first place win, she wanted to show her appreciation for everyone who has helped her along her journey and got her this opportunity.
“And just—to say thank you to my parents, who are always there for me and have supported me in every single step of my golf career. To Shauna and Mike, who’ve been like my second family here in the U.S. and have just supported me unconditionally. To my teammates, for their support and love also. And yeah—to my golf coaches, for helping me in every step of the way.”
The Quarterfinal matches will begin at 9:50 a.m. PST with the Semifinal matches beginning at 4:15 p.m. PST. Who will advance to the Finals?
