The LPGA Tour concludes its season this week at the CME Group Tour Championship. The tournament will be held at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The top 60 players in the Race to CME Globe standings will compete to win the final tournament of the season. This is the 12th playing of the CME Group Tour Championship and the 12th time the tournament will be held at Tiburon Golf Club.

World number one Jeeno Thitikul will look to defend her title after her one-stroke victory over Angel Yin last year.

Tiburon Golf Club is a par 72 playing 6,590 yards. The tournament’s purse remains the same at $11 million, with the winner earning $4 million.

Who to Watch at the 2025 CME Group Tour Championship

After winning multiple events this year and sitting in first place in the Road to CME Globe standings, Jeeno Thitikul is the player to beat this week. Thitikul is having a possible record-breaking season and leads the tour in many key statistics, including par three and par four scoring average and scoring average per round. If Thitikul can card three rounds in the 60s this week, she will break the record set last year by Nelly Korda of the highest percentage of rounds in the 60s in a single season. Thitikul had this to say on her season.

“I think it’s still been really like amazing ride this year. Definitely ups and downs. Definitely had a lot of close ones, but couldn’t finish it. Cried a lot for sure on like second runner-up,” she said. “But I think about how often you fall, how fast you know how to stand up, so I think that’s a really good life learning experience for me.”

Seven-time winner last season, Nelly Korda continues her search for a win this season. Although Korda does not have a win, she has had a successful season. She has not missed a cut so far and leads the tour in strokes gained off the tee. Korda says a reason for going without a win is that the tour is getting better.

“The competition is just getting better. Girls are just getting really good. You see that across all sports, though. Everyone is getting better. The technology, when it comes to that, the knowledge, whatever you want to point it to, it’s just really tough to win anywhere,” she said.

14 players will be making their tour championship debut this week, including eight rookies. Lottie Woad, who is making her first start at the tour championship, says even making it to the tournament is something special.

“When I got my card, I was just trying to play as many events as possible and prepare for next year, really, get used to everything,” she said. “To be here is a bonus. Just happy that I could compete, and obviously the win helped me get here.”
