Dan Bradbury won the 2026 Joburg Open, defeating Casey Jarvis and Brandon Robinson-Thompson by one stroke. This is his third-career DP World Tour win and second Joburg Open title in four years.

Going into the final round, it seemed like Hennie du Plessis might claim the title in his own country, as he held a two-stroke lead. After the opening nine holes, he extended his lead to three. But he went on to make two bogeys and a double bogey within five holes, sinking his chances of winning.

Bradbury started to make his charge up the leaderboard with back-to-back birdies to start the final nine. Robinson-Thompson took the lead at 18-under after making birdie on the 14th hole. But with a bogey on the next hole, he dropped to a three-way tie for the lead with Jarvis and Du Plessis.

Bradbury joined the leaders when he rolled in a birdie on the 17th hole, while Jarvis made bogey to fall out of the lead. Standing on the 18th tee, Bradbury was tied with Robinson-Thompson. Robinson-Thompson set the stage for Bradbury after he three-putted for bogey on the 18th green. Bradbury got up-and-down for par with an excellent chip shot from behind the green for a short par putt to secure his victory.

This is Bradbury’s first win since the 2024 FedEx Open de France. He had this to say about his performance on the back nine: “I thought I lost it on the front nine, I had so many chances and I just didn’t take anything. It feels really good to put it together on the back nine. Probably wasn’t expecting it as Hennie [du Plessis] was playing so well, but yeah, feels amazing.”

The DP World Tour starts the Asian Swing of the schedule next week in China for the Hainan Classic presented by MAEXTRO. Marco Penge picked up his first of three wins last year at this event. The field includes Francesco Molinari, Thirston Lawrence and Eugenio Chacarra.
