Former major champion Lexi Thompson moved up 13 spots to fourth on the leaderboard after shooting a 70 (-2). Playing a limited schedule this season, Thompson’s best finish is a tie for fourth thus far this year. In the two previous majors, she finished T14 at the Chevron Championship and missed the cut at the U.S. Women’s Open.

Charley Hull had the lowest round on Friday, shooting 69 (-3). Hull’s Thursday round was not as good, shooting a six-over 78, but her second round moved her up 94 spots on the leaderboard.

There are only seven players under par after the first two rounds in Frisco. The hot weather is making the course firm and fast, challenging the players. Defending champion Amy Yang will not play the weekend after shooting rounds of 76 and 77. Other former major champions to miss the cut at 8-over or higher are Yani Tseng, Anna Nordqvist, Cristie Kerr, Danielle Kang and Sung Hyun Park.
