This morning, Kristoffer Reitan’s win at the 2025 Nedbank Golf Challenge was a foregone conclusion. However, after a rough start to the final round, his victory was hard earned.

Reitan came into today’s round with a five-stroke lead, but with a rollercoaster scorecard with birdies, bogeys and plenty of pars, he didn’t make much headway in his overall score.

“I don’t know what I’m feeling right now. I had a lot of nerves today. But to get it over the line in the end is a better feeling than I can describe,” said Reitan. “I’m trying my best to deal with nervousness, fear. It’s really, really difficult. I’ve managed to do that really well ever since mid-season last year. It just keeps getting increasingly more difficult, but I’m glad to have dealt with it in a good way and get this over the line. That means so much. I’m so pleased.”

This gave Jayden Schaper and Dan Bradbury a chance. Both got close, one off the lead, but Reitan managed to hold on with pars to earn his second title on the DP World Tour. Schaper and Dan ultimately tied for second.

Reitan added, “I needed things to go my way a bit as well. Those two guys, Dan and Jayden, they played so well today, they kept pushing me. I was able to keep them at arm’s length in the end.”

Schaper was a fan favorite this week as a fellow South African. “You can’t really control what he’s going to do (Reitan). He’s obviously feeling his own little bit of pressure. There’s also pressure for me out there obviously, coming out as the leading South African in your home country,” said Schaper. “You do want to win it. Everyone wants to win, but as a South African, it’s just something nice. It’s really a special event. Would have been nice to hole the one on the last, but it’s just such a cool week. The crowd is fantastic.”

This was the third event of the 2026 season on the DP World Tour and the third of five opening swing events. The DP World Tour will remain in South Africa for the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Johannesburg December 11-14, 2025.
