Lauren Coughlin won the inaugural playing of the Aramco Championship at Shadow Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas. She defeated Nelly Korda and Leona Maguire by five strokes.

After leading the field after the first three rounds, Coughlin entered the final round ahead of Nelly Korda by two strokes. She also led Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Miyu Yamashita by four strokes. After Korda made two bogeys on the front nine and Coughlin made two birdies on the front nine, Coughlin was able to coast to her third career victory.

After finishing as the runner-up to Madelene Sagstrom last year at the 2025 T-Mobile Match Play at Shadow Creek, Coughlin was thrilled to end up in first this week.

“I just know I played really, really great all week. Had a lot of fun. I’m just happy. You know, it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth last year not getting the W given how well I played all week, so it makes it extra special this week,” she said.

With her win, Coughlin earned $600,000 in prize money and 500 points in the season-long competition, Race to CME Globe.

After finishing as the runner-up to Hyo Joo Kim in the last two events, Nelly Korda finished T-2 with Ireland’s Leona Maguire this week. In four events this season, Korda has a win at the Hilton Grand Vacation Tournament of Champions and has not finished lower than second place. Korda was honest when asked about her play on Sunday.

“I just didn’t play good golf today. I was hitting it pretty poorly off the tee and just finding myself in really tough positions going into the greens, and then hitting it in places where I shouldn’t be around the greens. It was quite hard to make an up and down,” she said.

Although Korda’s game has been one of the best in the world, her attitude is also one of the best. This week was no different from others.

“Sports are funny. If you actually really think about it, you lose more than you win, so you have to always pick yourself back up and dust yourself off and continue to grind and practice and work hard. The only thing that I can control is that at the end of the day, and that’s what I’m going to continue doing,” she said.

The LPGA Tour will have a week off before resuming at the JM Eagle Championship presented by Plastpro from April 16-19.

The Ladies European Tour will also have a week off and will resume at the Joburg Ladies Open in South Africa from April 16-19.
