Tomorrow Golf League (TGL), the highly anticipated league, launched on January 7, 2025, in an event filled with spark and PGA Tour stars. The tech-infused indoor golf league takes part inside the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
“This was just a dream conjured up. It’s hard to believe that the dream came into reality, and we were able to take golf into another stratosphere,” Tiger Woods said during the TGL launch broadcast.
In line with Wood’s statement, let’s look at how TGL started as a dream and became a reality that has shaken the golf world.
An Inside Look at TGL
Golf stars Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy, who owns TMRW Sports with Mike McCarley, are the minds behind TGL. The league was founded in August 2022 and expected to debut in January 2024, but it was delayed to 2025 due to technical issues at the arena.
Presented by SoFi, TGL combines the thrill of outdoor play with indoor golfing technology, providing players with a dynamic, out-of-this-world experience. The arena, housed within Palm Beach State College, expands to 250,000 square feet and can hold up to 1,500 fans.
But what’s fascinating is the state-of-the-art technology used in the SoFi Center. You have a massive 64-foot simulator screen and a rotating green (the “Green Zone”) with adjustable topography.
Though it’s an indoor arena, the tee boxes use real grass. What’s more, the rough and the sand is similar to what’s used at Augusta National Golf Club.
