Rhodes entered the final day tied at the top of the leaderboard with Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz and Italy’s Alessia Nobilio. Rhodes made the turn three ahead of the other two players in her group. A front-nine 37 (+1) from Nobilio and a 38 (+2) from Iturrioz opened the door for Rhodes, who carded a 34 (-2). It was smooth sailing as she completed her round with a bogey-free 69 (-3) to take the title. Rhodes had this to say after her third victory in her last four starts.
“It’s unbelievable, it’s really hard to put in words how happy I am right now,” she said. “It’s very exciting for the future and for my career.”
Rhodes will be in the field for next week’s Jabra Ladies Open in France. With her win, she earned €49,500 and is in first place on the Ladies European Tour’s order of merit with 1,546.88 points. She is over 500 points ahead of Cara Gainer in second place.
