On a night when the last playoff spot was up for grabs, Xander Schauffele secured the win in the highest-scoring match of the season. His four points in singles, aided by two hammers, helped close out a 10-6 New York victory over Boston.
In a season in which New York started 0-2, including a blowout on opening night, they showed great resilience to clinch a playoff spot. Boston showed their class after New York took the lead on the first hole. 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott contributed with a beautiful iron shot on hole three and a chip-in on hole four to take the lead. The two teams went back and forth on streaks, with New York getting the final blow.
WHAT. A. CHIP. (Yes, we've said that a lot today 😂)

Although the night signified more golf for some, Boston ended their season as the only team without a win. The team, with all four players registering major wins, could not translate that to the simulator.Â
New York will play Los Angeles Golf Club in the playoffs on either March 17 or 18. Their previous matchup against LA went to overtime, with LA winning.Â
In the first match of the night, Los Angeles dominated in singles to secure the top playoff spot.
After falling behind 3-0, LA scored 5 unanswered points to complete their comeback against The Bay in what could be a preview of the championship match. Coming into tonight, the two teams were at the top of the TGL table, both not registering a loss in regulation.Â
The Bay jumped out to a 3-0 lead through six holes with complementary team play capped off by a massive Wyndham Clark drive. Los Angeles would secure one point in triples off a mistake by Clark before winning four points in the remaining singles holes.
After tonight, the matchups in the playoffs are set with one match being the previously mentioned matchup between New York and Los Angeles. The matchup involving the two and three seeds includes The Bay Golf Club and Atlanta Drive GC, respectively.
Atlanta would have had to win 11 of the 15 holes against Jupiter Links GC in their match on March 4 to clinch the number two seed.
