Scottie Scheffler defeated Ben Griffin by one shot to win the 2025 Procore Championship

Griffin led Jackson Koivun by one shot heading into the final round. Koivun, a junior at Auburn University, has already earned his PGA Tour card through the PGA Tour U Accelerated Program; he also earned the Haskins Award – which names the top Division I male golfer – as a freshman. Scheffler sat two shots back of the leader after shooting the lowest round on Saturday with a 64 (-8) to vault himself into contention.

Griffin came out firing with three birdies on his first three holes but bogeyed the fourth to fall to 18-under. Scheffler was tied with Griffin after the opening nine holes after shooting a three-under 32.

Scheffler took the lead after Griffin bogeyed the 14th hole. Both players birdied the par-5 15th hole. Griffin had a six-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to tie Scheffler and force a playoff, but he pulled his putt and tapped in for par.

This is Scheffler’s sixth win of the season and 19th of his career. He is now in his second consecutive season of six or more wins, joining Tiger Woods as the only two players to have multiple seasons of winning six or more times since 1983.

All 10 of the U.S.A. Ryder Cup players made the cut in the final tune-up before they tee it up at Bethpage in two weeks.

The next PGA Tour event is the Sanderson Farm Championship the first weekend of October. Kevin Yu is the defending champion. The Ryder Cup will be played the week before.
