Team USA Clinches the 2025 Junior Ryder Cup

After three days of intense matches and some rain unexpectedly changing up the venue on the final day for the Singles matches, we have our new reigning Junior Ryder Cup champions – Team USA.

This is the United States’ eighth time winning the Junior Ryder Cup, with the last victory in 2018 in Paris, France.

After the first two days of matches, Team USA came into today with 10 points to Team Europe’s 8. To win the cup, one team had to reach 14.5 points first. Team USA went above and beyond and garnered 7.5 points today, pushing their total to 17.5 vs. Team Europe’s 12.5.

Match 1: Asterisk Talley (Team USA) defeated Charlotte Naughton (Team Europe) 1 UP

Match 2: Hugo Le Goff (Team Europe) defeated Miles Russell (Team USA) 4&3

Match 3: Anna Fang (Team USA) defeated Nagore Martinez (Team Europe) 5&3

Match 4: Giuseppe Puebla (Team USA) tied Kris Kim (Team Europe)

Match 5: Zoe Cusack (Team USA) defeated Benedicte Brent-Petersen (Team Europe) 4&3

Match 6: Lunden Esterline (Team USA) defeated Callixte Alzas (Team Europe) 3&2

Match 7: Lily Peng (Team USA) defeated Alice Kong (Team Europe) 1 UP

Match 8: Hamilton Coleman (Team USA) defeated John Doyle (Team Europe) 2&1

Match 9: Rayee Feng (Team USA) defeated Louise Uma Landgraf (Team Europe) 4&3

Match 10: Oscar Couilleau (Team Europe) defeated Tyler Mawhinney (Team USA) 7&6

Match 11: Sara Brentcheneff (Team Europe) defeated Amelie Zalsman 5&4

Match 12: Lev Grinberg (Team Europe) defeated Luke Colton 4&3

We haven’t seen the last of these junior golfers yet. Many of the Junior Ryder Cup team members go on to have successful collegiate and professional careers. Some notable alumni from this event include Carlota Ciganda (2004, 2006), Mina Harigae (2004), twins Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard (2018), and Tony Finau (2004, 2006).
