The CJ Cup Byron Nelson has been an event on the PGA Tour schedule since 1944. In 1968, it started to use Byron Nelson’s name to honor the 52-time PGA Tour winner and Texas native.

With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, Saturday is the tournament’s “Green Out” day, when the players and fans will wear green to show support the cause. The caddies will also wear custom bibs that showcase how the players keep their mental health strong.

Five of the last six winners of this event have been international players. However, in 2025, Scottie Scheffler won by eight strokes for his 14th time on the PGA Tour.

About TPC Craig Ranch

TPC Craig Ranch plays 7,385 yards as a par 71. The golf course underwent a major redesign after last year’s tournament. The redesign included resurfacing and recontouring the greens, lengthening holes, and redesigning the bunkers and their strategic placement. Sebastián Muñoz and S.Y. Noh share the course record of 60 (-11).

Who to Watch at the 2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson

Defending champ Scheffler and 39 other players from the recent PGA Championship field will be competing this week.

We predict Jordan Spieth will pick up the win in his hometown of Dallas. He has three top-10 finishes at this event since 2021, including a runner-up finish in 2022 and a solo fourth finish in 2025.
