The Hero Indian Open has been played since 1964. It is a co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and Golf Tour of India. This is the second of four events on the Asian Swing of the schedule.
DP World Tour members who finish in the top three positions in the Asian Swing rankings who aren’t already exempt will earn entry into the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club this may.
In last year’s tournament, Eugenio Chacarra earned his first career DP World Tour win by defeating Keita Nakajima by two strokes.
About DLF Golf and Country Club
DLF Golf and Country Club plays 7,416 yards as a par 72. The golf course was designed by Gary Player and has held this event since 2015. The course record is 62 (-10) set by Norway’s Espen Kofstad at the 2024 Hero Indian Open.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Hero Indian Open
Charra will look to defend his title against a field that includes Casey Jarvis, last week’s winner Jordan Gumberg and 3-time PGA Tour winner Akshay Bhatia. We predict Bhatia will pick up his second career DP World Tour win. He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational recently and has four other top-16 finishes in his other starts.
