The Ladies European Tour begins its stretch in Africa this week at the 2026 Joburg Ladies Open. This is the first of two tournaments being held in South Africa over the next two weeks and in partnership with the Sunshine Ladies Tour. The tournament will be held at Randpark Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Last year’s winner, Mimi Rhodes, will not be in the field this week due to her playing in the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro on the LPGA Tour.
Randpark Golf Club is a par 73 playing 6,710 yards. The tournament’s purse is €330,000.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Joburg Ladies Open
The current leader in the LET Order of Merit, Casandra Alexander, is in the field this week. Alexander is from South Africa and has won six times on the Sunshine Ladies Tour. Alexander has made the cut in all of the tournaments she has played in this season and has finished as the runner-up twice.
Lee-Anne Pace is another golfer from South Africa playing in the tournament this week. She is 45 years old and turned pro in 2005. Pace has 23 professional wins, including one on the LPGA Tour and 11 on the Ladies European Tour. Her most recent win on the LET was at the Investec South Africa Women’s Open in April 2022.
Pace’s best result in a major was T-6 in the 2015 Evian Championship. She has five top 25’s across the five majors, with three of them coming at the Women’s British Open.
