The Joburg Open has been a professional golf tournament on the DP World Tour since 2007 and is co-sanctioned with the South Africa-based Sunshine Tour. The tournament is played in Johannesburg, South Africa, at Houghton Golf Club. It is the last event of the International Swing portion of the DP World Tour schedule.
In the 2025 Joburg Open, Calum Hill picked up his second career win by defeating Shaun Norris and Jacques Kruyswijk in a three-man playoff. “It’s nice to have all the good memories coming back. As a golfer you sometimes just remember the bad shots, but this week all I’m remembering are the good shots I hit here last year,” said Hill.
About Houghton Golf Club
Houghton Golf Club plays 7,241 yards as a par 70. In 2010, the golf course reopened after a full Jack Nicklaus redesign. The course is not the longest but has strategic bunkers to catch poor drives. The greens have subtle slopes and rolling undulations, forcing the players to hit the correct approach shot. The course record is held by Dean Robertson, who shot 62 during the first round of the 2001 Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Joburg Open
Hill will look to defend his title against a field that includes Dylan Frittelli, Alex Fitzpatrick and Antoine Rozner. We predict Angel Ayora will pick up his first career win. In his last three starts, he has finished T5, 8th and T9.
