The Ladies European Tour continues this week at the 2026 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open. The tournament will be held at Golfpark Holzhäusern for the seventh consecutive year.
England’s Alice Hewson is in the field to defend her title after winning the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open the last two years.
Golfpark Holzhäusern is a par 71 playing 6,288 yards. The golf course opened in 1995 as the first public golf course in Switzerland with 36 holes. The purse for the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open is €350,000.
The VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open will be a 54-hole event, rather than the standard 72-hole format seen in previous weeks.
Who to Watch at the 2026 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open
Only one winner on the Ladies European Tour this season is in the field this week. The 2026 Amundi German Masters winner, Leonie Harm, is looking for her second win after her remarkable comeback from injury. She has not played well recently, only making the cut once in her last seven starts.
Defending champion Hewson is looking for her first win this season. She has three top-10 finishes, with her best finish of fifth coming at the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius. If she wins this event three times in a row, she’ll be only the second player to ever do so besides Annika Sörenstam.
“It would be unbelievable,” said Hewson. “I’ve met Annika several times, she’s a fantastic human being and has done so much for the sport so to be said in the same sentence as her would be pretty cool.”
Seven Swiss players are in the field this week. One player to watch is Vanessa Knecht. Knecht played golf at Wake Forest University for four years before turning professional in January of 2023 and joining the LET.
