The LPGA Tour plays its last event in the continental United States until November at the 2026 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. The tournament will be played at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, AR.
Last year’s event was cancelled because heavy rain made the course unplayable after round one. However, Sarah Schmelzel and Minami Katsu tied for first after that round, and the tournament and its sponsors received high praise for still paying out the entirety of the prize money accordingly; no one earned Race to CME Globe points. The 2024 champion Jasmine Suwannapura is not in the field this week, nor is Schmelzel; Katsu will be participating.
Pinnacle Country Club is a par 71 playing 6,438 yards. The golf course was designed by Don Sechrest and opened in 1990. It was redesigned in 2009 by Randy Heckenkemper. The 2026 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship is a 54-hole event, rather than the traditional 72 hole format. The purse is $3 million, with the winner receiving $450,000.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship
15 of the top 25 players in the Rolex Rankings are in the field this week, headlined by Miyu Yamashita and Lottie Woad.
Nasa Hataoka is looking for her third victory at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Hataoka won this event in 2018 and 2021. She does not have a win this season, and her best finish of T5 came at the Fortinet Founders Cup in March.
Linn Grant is a player to follow this weekend after her 4-0 record at the Solheim Cup propelled Team Europe to victory. Grant has been inconsistent this season, making the cut eight times in 17 starts, but finishing inside of the top 20 four times.
