Adrian Meronk won the 2026 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship by defeating Casey Jarvis and Niklas Nørgaard by two strokes. This is Meronk’s first DP World Tour win since the 2023 Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters and his fifth overall.
Meronk left the DP World Tour and joined LIV Golf in 2024 as part of the Cleeks Golf Club team. He has won one time on that tour at the 2025 Riyadh Championship. He was the first golfer from Poland to win on the DP World Tour and play in a major championship.
Jarvis held a two-stroke lead over Meronk to start the final round. Meronk made a birdie on the 12th hole and never gave the lead up after that. The victory at the “Home of Golf” – the Old Course at St Andrews – helped him retain his DP World Tour status after coming into the week at 141st on the Race to Dubai Rankings.
Meronk also won the Team Championship portion of the event with his partner Tom Chaplin, a British musician. He became the third player in the 25-year history of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship to win both the individual and Team Championship.
“It’s unreal, to be honest, I never usually cry, but this one, this one feels really special and, I’m sorry, I’m just lost for words. It’s been quite a tough year for me and to win here after 10 years after turning pro., It’s a dream come true,” Meronk said after his win.
The DP World Tour is off to Spain for the Open de España presented by Madrid at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid in Madrid, Spain. In last year’s tournament, Marco Penge defeated Dan Brown on the first playoff hole to earn his third win of last season. Spanish stars Jon Rahm, Eugenio Chacarra and Sergio Garcia highlight a field that also includes Patrick Reed and Penge.
