2027 LPGA Tour Schedule: Larger Purses, Easier Routing

The LPGA Tour has announced its 2027 schedule, and it continues to improve year-over-year. Last November, LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler announced optimized scheduling as a priority for the players, and he continues to deliver.

“2026 has been a remarkable season on the LPGA Tour, and we’ve built on that momentum to shape an even stronger 2027 schedule,” said Kessler. “With the help of amazing partners, we’ve made meaningful strides in how our athletes move around the world, what venues they play and how much they play for.”

In addition to adding events at incredible venues in Hawaii (Nanea Golf Club and The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort) and Hong Kong (The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club), the LPGA Tour has docked 10,000 miles in travel from this new-and-improved schedule. This efficiency will help players reset faster week-to-week and encourage more playing given travel is now less cumbersome.

The major championships are also going to prestigious golf courses, like Inverness Club for the U.S. Women’s Open, Congressional Country Club for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Royal St George’s Golf Club in England for the AIG Women’s Open; the latter is the venue’s first time hosting a women’s major championship.

When it comes to the money, more than $147 million will be awarded to players this year. Ten of the 33 events will have payouts for all players – usually only players who make the cut make some money back on their expenses. The lowest purse you’ll see next year is $2 million.

“Our schedule impacts every stakeholder, but our athletes remain at the heart of how we build it. Our progress is evident in how our athletes and the entire LPGA ecosystem will move around the world next year, creating more opportunities to rest, recover and ultimately operate more efficiently,” said Kessler. “The venues we play at matter, and we’re adding even more courses that fans will love and recognize. Our players have earned the chance to compete on these stages, and we encourage fans to tune in to watch them do it. The prize fund reflects the incredible collaboration and support of our partners, who keep recognizing the value of our players. We know our players and fans care about all three of these things, and we can’t wait to keep making even more progress in the years ahead.”
