The LPGA continues its Asian stretch at the BMW Ladies Championship. The tournament will be held at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, Republic of Korea.

Australia’s Hannah Green will look to defend her title after her wire-to-wire victory at Seowon Valley Country Club last year.

Pine Beach Golf Links is a par 72 playing 6,785 yards. The tournament’s purse has increased by $100,000 from last year to a total of $2.3 million.

Who to Watch at the BMW Ladies Championship

With Jeeno Thitikul’s victory at the Buick LPGA Shanghai last weekend, she became the first multiple-time winner on tour this season.

After winning three times on tour last season, Hannah Green is searching for her first win in 2025. Green has made 10 cuts in 16 starts this season with three top 10s. She currently sits in 54th place in the season-long competition, Race to CME Globe. Green says she has taken time off for herself.

“Yeah, so my last tournament I played was in Arkansas, three weeks ago, and both weeks – I took some time off because I think I needed to mentally switch off and have some rest,” she said.

With her time off, Green says she made some changes in the bag and with her golf swing.

“I was fortunate when I was home that my coach was there, so I worked with him a little bit on my golf swing, and I have a new putter in the bag for this next stretch of events. I hope it gives me some confidence for my game this week and also the rest of the season,” she said.

It is the first time this season that an event is being held in Korea. There are 22 players from the Republic of Korea playing this week. Haeran Ryu mentioned what this tournament means to her.

“Yeah, so Jeollanam is my parents’ hometown and I went to high school and middle school in Hangul, so Jeolla Province is very familiar to me. This is exactly why I have decided to take three weeks off before this event,” she said.

Ryu is looking for her second win of the season after her win at the Black Desert Championship presented by Greater Zion in May.
