The 2026 Travelers Championship is the last Signature Event of this PGA Tour season. The Travelers Championship has been a PGA Tour event since 1952. Many players are making the trip from New York to Connecticut. 61 of the 72 players in the field competed in the 2026 U.S. Open last week, including five of the top six finishers.
Keegan Bradley won the 2025 Travelers Championship by defeating Tommy Fleetwood by one stroke.
About TPC River Highlands
TPC River Highlands plays 6,844 yards as a par 70. It was the second shortest course on the PGA Tour last season behind Port Royal Golf Course. The last four holes always play a critical role in deciding the winner. On holes 15 through 17, the players will make their way around a four-acre lake. Jim Furyk shot the lowest round in PGA Tour history and set the course record when he shot 58 in the final round of the Travelers Championship.
Who to Watch at the 2026 Travelers Championship
The field has 8 of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Rankings. The 2017 champion, Jordan Spieth, is one of four sponsor exemptions. One of the other sponsor exemptions is PGA Tour rookie Ben James, who is from Connecticut and played in this event twice as an amateur. James was asked what it’s like playing this event in his home state.
“It means a lot to be in my home state, being back here. It was nice to sleep in my own bed last night. Just really looking forward to the week, seeing family and friends, and it’s nice to play some golf in front of them.”
We predict Sam Burns will pick up the win at the Travelers Championship. He finished runner-up last week at the U.S. Open and T4 at The Memorial Tournament two weeks ago. He has two career top-20 finishes at this event, but his elite putting and ball striking is a good fit at TPC River Highlands.
