Noora Komulainen defeated Justice Bosio and Lisa Pettersson on the first playoff hole to win the 2026 Tipsport Czech Ladies Open.
Going into the final round of this 54-hole tournament, Pettersson and Charlotte Heath were tied for the lead with Komulainen trailing by one shot. Esme Hamilton and Amelia Garvey trailed by two shots. Bosio leaped up the leaderboard with five birdies on the front nine, with Pettersson carding three birdies herself. Komulainen stuck around near the top of the leaderboard with two birdies on her front nine. Pettersson and Bosio continued their excellent play and finished with rounds of 67 (-5) and 64 (-8).
After falling behind the leaders on her back nine, Komulainen needed to catch fire at the end of her round. She delivered with four consecutive birdies in her final four holes to join Pettersson and Bosio in a tie for first place. Komulainen continued her hot streak in the first playoff hole, making a six-foot birdie putt to win her first professional win in an individual event.
After turning professional in 2013, Komulainen joined the Ladies European Tour. She finished inside the top ten 19 times in 198 starts before her win this week. Komulainen was overjoyed, sharing this win with her husband and daughter.
“I’ve been on tour for 14 years without a win,” Komulainen said. “This is my first one, so it means everything. I’ve been dreaming of winning in front of my husband and daughter. So to have my husband caddying and to have her here, this is a dream come true.”
With her win, Komulainen earned €52,500 in prize money and 500 points in the LET’s Order of Merit. She jumped into ninth place in the standings. South Africa’s Casandra Alexander remains in first place.
Bosio is competing in her first full season on the Ladies European Tour. After finishing in fifth last week at the Dutch Ladies Open, she added her second career top-five finish this week. Despite coming so close to a win, Bosio was happy with her effort the past few days.
“Last week was my highest finish on the LET, which I was very happy about, and then this week was even better…The putts just didn’t drop on 18, both in regulation and in the playoff, but overall a really good week, and I’m very happy,” she said.
The Ladies European Tour will play its first and only tournament in Belgium next week at the Hulencourt Women’s Open.
