Women’s collegiate golf deserves more eyes. Just look back on the NCAA Division I Golf Championships – these women are shooting 7-under a day on some of the toughest golf courses in the country. This next generation of golfers are incredible, and their careers are bright.

The ANNIKA Foundation has been integral to growing this stage of women’s golf. Not only is Annika Sorenstam a legend who continues to inspire every golfer, but she has also created an environment where girls can grow physically and mentally within the game and beyond. Sorenstam and her foundation recently pulled off another amazing feat: a documentary.

Airing on Golf Channel (once already on March 18th and again on March 26th at 9pm ET), this 30-minute documentary follows the top Division I schools as they compete in the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M. It provides a glimpse into the fall season of many teams who hope to be competing in the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., this May. What better way to inspire girls to be them than to see them on the big screen?

The ANNIKA Intercollegiate takes place at the Royal Golf Club, a course co-designed by Sorenstam and Arnold Palmer, in Minnesota. The documentary follows the fierce competition between the teams. It also highlights how the ANNIKA Foundation executes on their mission to “develop, empower and advance young women around the world through golf and life” and brings a unique experience to these collegiate events.

Tune in to the Golf Channel again this Wednesday at 9pm ET to see how the ANNIKA Foundation is changing women’s collegiate golf. You’ll see lots of familiar faces from our NCAA Championship coverage last May!
