Casandra Alexander continued her terrific season with a win at the 2026 Buccellati Ladies Italian Open. This is her third career win and second this season.
Entering the final round, Alexander was tied for the lead with Moa Folke and Alexandra Forsterling three shots ahead of another five players. Folke started her final round hot, making three birdies in her first three holes before making four consecutive bogeys on holes 5 through 8. Alexander opened her round with a birdie before making a double bogey on the second hole. She was tied with Folke for the lead after nine holes.
With Forsterling behind after a poor start, Alexander pulled ahead of Folke with three birdies on the back nine. A bogey and double bogey from Folke dropped her too far behind, and Alexander won her third career tournament on the Ladies European Tour.
Alexander has been one of the best players on tour this season, and she is currently first place in the LET’s Order of Merit. After five runner-up finishes, she won the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at the end of August.
“I’m glad I didn’t have to wait for this one as long as I waited for the previous one,” said Alexander. “My game’s in the right place to win golf tournaments, so I’m looking forward to the rest of the season and having more opportunities. As golfers, as soon as you get one, you’re after the next one, so I’m really happy to walk away with the win and it’s great to be here in Italy.”
Sophie Hausmann and Anna Morgan tied for second place. This is both Hausmann and Morgan’s best finish of the season.
The Ladies European Tour will have the next week off but will resume for the Aramco Korea Championship from October 8-11.
