After four days and seven matches, the final was set between 13th seeded Coughlin and the 46th seeded Sagstrom on Sunday night at Shadow Creek Golf Course. Sagstrom jumped out to a blistering start, going four holes up on the 6th hole. Coughlin clawed back and eventually took the lead on the 12th hole after mistakes by Sagstrom. After the two tied the hole on 14 with a bogey, Sagstrom finished out with mistake-free golf to take the title.

The exhausted Sagstrom described the emotions after a long weekend.
“It feels amazing. You kind of forget what it feels like,” she said. “It’s probably going to feel very rewarding eventually, right now I’m just very tired. It’s been such hard work for such a long time and it just proves it’s so hard to win out here everyone’s so good and it’s just incredible.”
This win secures Sagstrom 500 points in the race to CME Globe along with $300,000 in winnings. The LPGA is off next week but will resume in Los Angeles at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro on April 17th.
