Going into the final round, Kouskova was behind Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini by one stroke and ahead of Tan by one stroke. She was ahead going into the back nine after she scored a front nine 33 (-2) and a 37 (+2) by Tamburlini. Tan was four shots back after she scored a front-nine 35 (E). It came down to the wire, but Kouskova emerged victorious after a birdie-birdie finish, and Tan played the final two holes at even par to win by two.
“I was a little nervous, but all the work mentally that I tried to prepare for was really good, and I think that’s why I held up so solid during all three days, because it was so tough here. Especially mentally and confidence-wise, you really need to play your best golf,” Kouskova said.
With her win, Kouskova moved into third place in the LET Order of Merit behind Mimi Rhodes and Cara Gainer. The LET will resume the weekend of June 5th at the Tenerife Women’s Open at the Canary Islands in Spain. Kouskova and the other top players on tour will be in the field.
