The first cut of the 2026 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Golf Championship happened today after play. The top 15 teams and 9 individuals will continue competing tomorrow for the individual title and the 8 match play slots.
While we know the 15 teams, we don’t know the 9 individuals. Three players are tied at the cutline – even par – and weren’t able to finish their playoff due to darkness. Their fifth playoff hole will begin at 8am PT on Monday.
Some of the teams that have been performing well are unsurprisingly still at the top of the leaderboard, like Stanford, Southern California and Oklahoma State. Texas shot 8-under today to move up four spots to 4th. Despite SMU’s 9-over today, they managed to squeeze into the top 15.
Also advancing tomorrow are Missouri, last year’s champion Northwestern and North Carolina. UNC’s Reagan Southerland sunk a birdie putt on the 18th hole to secure her team’s advancement.
Wake Forest looked like they were taking the final spot – or at least forcing a playoff for it – until an untimely bogey on one of their final holes dropped them to T16 with LSU, another team that’s usually seen on Day 4.
Other surprising teams to miss the cut based on past NCAA Championship histories include Virginia (T18) and Florida State (T23).
Individually, we have another tie for first, between Texas’ Farah O’Keefe and Southern California’s Catherine Park at 10-under. Park shot a 65 (-7) today to rise in rank. Stanford’s Meja Örtengren is one back and Megha Ganne is two back.
Two of the individual players – Kirstin Angosta (TCU) and Thanana Kotchasanmanee (Princeton) – are T8 and continuing to compete for the individual title tomorrow. Fellow individual Sheridan Clancy (Indiana) is part of the three-way playoff tomorrow for the final spot.
