This is the third playing of the Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort in Ivins, UT. The 2026 Bank of Utah Championship is the second FedExCup Fall event of eight  that finalizes eligibility for the 2027 PGA Tour season.

The winner will receive 500 FedExCup points, a two-year PGA Tour exemption-  which will earn them their card for the PGA Tour Championship Series in 2028 – and $1,080,000. The FedExCup Fall series also determines eligibility for early-season Signature Events, with Nos. 51-60 in the final FedExCup Fall standings earning spots in the 2027 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and 2027 Genesis Invitational.

In last year’s event, Michael Brennan earned his first career PGA Tour win by defeating Rico Hoey by four shots.

“I’m excited for the first title defense. I really didn’t feel too much different than a normal event, which I think is good, but it’s cool. It’s really cool to know that you’ve won a tournament here before,” Brennan said.

About Black Desert Resort Golf Course

Black Desert Resort Golf Course plays 7,421 yards as a par 71. The golf course was cut through a lava field with wide fairways and just two water hazards in play. The course record was set by Canadian Adam Svensson, who shot an 11-under-60 in the opening round of last year’s tournament.

Who to Watch at the 2026 Bank of Utah Championship

The field includes the last two winners of this event, Brennan and Matt McCarty, who won this event in 2024 and finished third last year. Six-time PGA Tour winner and Utah native Tony Finau is set to make his tournament debut. Jackson Koivun, fresh off the Presidents Cup victory, will also make his tournament debut and improve his FedExCup ranking of 62.

We predict Ben James will earn his first career PGA Tour victory. In three of his last five starts, he has finished T4 or better, including a runner-up finish at the Biltmore Championship Asheville. James earned his PGA Tour card this June through PGA Tour University and is yet another success story from their program.
